| Abstract / Summary: |
The purpose of the I960 Institute was to assist college, public, and school librarians in building adequate science collections to meet the current needs of their clientele. The program began with a consideration of the dynamic nature of science and proceeded logically through discussions of the present state of scientific progress, the dissemination of scientific information through various mediums, reader interest in science, the publication of scientific information, problems, and aids in selecting material for libraries, to the concluding discussion of the components of the science collection. |
