Abstract / Summary: There is no doubt that human resources decisions are among the most difficult to make. Not only do they have the potential to affect significantly the productivity and morale of staff, they are fraught with legal pitfalls. Decisions concerning human resources can determine the quality of library service, the character of the work environment, and the culture of the organization itself.
