| Abstract / Summary: |
The academic library of the 21st century will be distinguished by the scope and quality of its service programs. Fundamental changes in the academic and scholarly environment demand new approaches to defining core library services and to building capacity among our staff to deliver those services. In this presentation, we discuss the concept of the "service turn" and its significance for the future of academic libraries, and describe emergent models for service programs in U.S. academic libraries. |
